וַיִּֽוָּלְד֤וּ לְאַבְשָׁלוֹם֙ שְׁלוֹשָׁ֣ה בָנִ֔ים וּבַ֥ת אַחַ֖ת וּשְׁמָ֣הּ תָּמָ֑ר הִ֣יא הָיְתָ֔ה אִשָּׁ֖ה יְפַ֥ת מַרְאֶֽה׃ (פ)
און בײַ אַבֿשָלומען זײַנען געבאָרן געװאָרן דרײַ זין, און אײן טאָכטער װאָס איר נאָמען איז געװען תָּמָר. זי איז געװען אַ װײַבספּאַרשױן פֿון אַ שײנעם אױסזען.
II Samuel
Avsholom had taken and built for himself a monument during his lifetime, which is in the king's valley because he said, "I have no son, this will memorialize my name." He named the monument after himself calling it, "the place of Avsholom." [It remains] until today.
